What do you like to eat on holiday?

Enjoying good food on holiday is something we always look forward to! We don’t just go to a restaurant or beach club two or three times a day, we also tend to eat way too much. Whether you've booked an all inclusive hotel or just an apartment based on lodging.

The feast begins at the airport. No matter what time it is, you have to eat something before you fly. If your flight departs very early, you eat even more than usual because you got up six hours earlier than normal.

Would you like something to eat or drink?

The party continues on the plane as you immediately grab the menu and decide what you're going to order as soon as you can. If meals are included with your flight, you always make sure to have something in your hand luggage. Because who knows what will appear from beneath that warm, moist foil this time. Usually, nothing special. And you definitely don’t want to risk missing a meal on the outbound trip.

Croissants and wine during the holiday

Once at the destination, the excessive eating takes on extreme forms. Picking up rolls and croissants at the local bakery, piling your plate with donuts and churros at the breakfast buffet... If you can, you also pour yourself a glass of champagne. In the afternoon, you indulge in mountains of tapas, glasses of wine, and sweet desserts. And because there’s just a bit too much time between lunch and dinner during the holiday, you have a snack at the end of the afternoon, of course, accompanied by another glass of rosé or a beer. In the evening, we’re not really hungry anymore because we’re not used to eating so much, but still, we go looking for something tasty.

Tips for trendy eateries

I mentioned earlier that the madness starts right at the airport. The search for holiday food actually begins much earlier. Long before the holiday even started! I always hear people around me asking if anyone has good restaurant tips for the destination in question that is on the agenda. Because once on location, you don’t want to spend too much time searching for something nice, you just want to sit down, order, and enjoy. I’ve even heard that nowadays there are people who reserve a table at some restaurants in advance!.To make sure they don’t have to wait for a spot.

Delicious unhealthy food

I don’t know about you, but in the last few days of soaking up the sun, I always look forward to this holiday meal: a Burger King menu at the airport. Often, this has to be quickly stuffed down while running to the gate. Because you're certainly not the only one who wants to grab something tasty there.

When the stewardess comes by shortly after takeoff on the way back with the cart full of food and drinks... you order one last unhealthy treat. Even if you're still full from your burger and fries.

So it's not surprising that even days after the holiday, you crave delicious food all day long. Moreover, now it’s also expected of you to provide a list of nice eateries. Thinking back on that, you naturally get even hungrier!
